The last thing on my mind when I got back from Belgium and the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2022 was attending another motorsports event. My father had been asking me to go with him all summer and to be honest I wasn't too keen on the idea.
Persuasive as my father was he ordered tickets to the event and booked a hotel in central Copenhagen without telling me until the very last minute. And I'm glad he did — this was the last trip we did together.
